MAISHA PLUS is a television reality show which apart from filling the vacuum of local programs, has also been created to entertain, inform, educate and set a trend in today's young people as it creates a platform for debate for those it offers entertainment to.

 

MAISHA PLUS brings together young aspiring Tanzanians who come from different cultures and backgrounds to live in the village set in the middle of the jungle for eight weeks while carrying out various tasks and constructive challenges from which they learn and experience. During their eight week stay in the typical primitive environment, various opinion leaders and corporate figures visit and share with them the knowledge they have on various areas of life, career and corporate world.

 

Besides cultural exchange, these young people, the leaders of tomorrow, get to discover and enhance their precious gifts and talents and those of other youths in Tanzania and help them explore, expose, fulfil their dreams, discover and develop their hidden skills.

 

For those at home, through watching MAISHA PLUS, get to realise that life does not only revolve around music and beauty but there is another wider area that is still not touched or thought of.

 

Since MAISHA PLUS brings people from different backgrounds, participats learn about behaviour training and modification, positive attitude which viewers can also learn from and help people to be creative and be able to think outside the box, and not to have a fixed mind about life in general.

 

Despite the fact that hardworking, creativity and intelligence are the major things expected to be showcased by participants, humour and communication skills also help participant to win the hearts of viewers who decide should be sent home using their SMS votes.

 

After the evictions that see two participants leaving the village every week, ten people of eighteen get to the top ten and live to the end of the show accumulating points from the viewers.

 

Once in a while, participants are provoked through odd issues like superstitious and witchcraft just to test their vitality and faith.

 

 

MAISHA PLUS is here to change the mindset of those who do not believe in possibility.
